Day08. Shining Light into Darkness, Sterling
Christ had to face the deepest blackest darkness at the crucifixion. It was so black that even Christ cried out to the Father.
From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). Matthew 27:45
The One who cried out in the darkness that dark day, ascended to the glory of the Father in heaven, in order to be able to shine light into the hearts of men, women and children across the globe.
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
